These videos record a series of readings entitled, “Backroom Broadsides,” which take place on the first Tuesday of nearly every month from 8 p.m. to roughly 10:30 p.m. in the backroom of the Fox and Crow (bar and restaurant) at the corner of Palisade Avenue and Congress Street in Jersey City.

A typical reading in the series will include an open in which 1 or 12 poets are allotted no more than 5 minutes a piece to read from their work and then two feature readers taking roughly 20 to 30 minutes each from their work. By video-taping the readers we hope to create an archive of their work that will be accessible online and which they can use to promote and showcase their skills.
